How it works
-
Call us to help organise our Sunday live cattle run to your farm — see pickup areas below. We'll give you a rundown on our operation and how we can fit you in.
-
Your cattle will be loaded onto our truck and sent to Stanthorpe abattoir for processing. Stanthorpe abattoir has no cattle size limits, so we can process larger cattle (400 kg+). They provide us the carcass weights.
-
We collect the carcass in our licensed refrigerated truck, butcher in Coraki to your specifications, then confirm your total and payment timing when we call.
-
Collect from our Coraki shop, or contact us for a farm return delivery quote.
Live cattle pickup areas
Our live cattle truck runs on Sundays. We can usually pick up north from around Tabulam through the Tweed region toward Stanthorpe, and west via Tenterfield toward Stanthorpe. The map shows our usual corridors — every farm is different, so call David Ryan to confirm we can reach you on the next run.
Licensed refrigerated transport

Payment your way
Nothing to pay online. We quote the full amount after abattoir weights and your cut list. Pay at Coraki pickup, on farm return delivery (cash or EFTPOS), or ask for an email invoice — whatever works for your operation.
Your fifth quarter — returned
Many local abattoirs don't return offal to the farmer. We give back the liver, kidney, tail, and tongue from your animal.
Common questions
What is a service kill?
Riverside Butchery helps cattle farmers organise private butchery of their own stock — we coordinate timing, transport, and cutting your beef to your specifications, tray-packed and ready to collect. Farmers sometimes also call this a service, private, or custom kill.
How do I submit my cut preferences?
Use the enquiry form — enter your farm details, customise cuts, and submit. We'll email you a confirmation and call to arrange timing and payment.
Should I call before submitting?
We recommend a quick call — it helps us confirm your farm address, when your cattle will be ready, and your cut preferences. Prefer to keep things offline? We can handle everything by phone and email instead. You can still submit the enquiry form online when you're ready.
How do I pay?
Nothing to pay online for service kill. We quote freight, slaughter, and butchering after abattoir weights and your cut list. Pay at Coraki pickup, on farm delivery (cash or EFTPOS), or by email invoice for businesses — we'll agree what suits you when we call.
Are you on our pickup run?
Our Sunday live run usually covers north from around Tabulam through the Tweed region toward Stanthorpe, and west via Tenterfield toward Stanthorpe — see the map on this page. Every farm is different; call David Ryan with your address and we'll confirm whether we can pick up on the next run.
